Dyski grant scheme
These terms apply to all Dyski residencies and workshops. Dyski is run by Dyski Ltd and Dyski Access CIC, a Community Interest Company.
Booking
To book a place, choose a residency or workshop on our website and complete your registration by paying in full, or by choosing a payment plan where one is offered. Payment plans may not be available for all residencies and workshops, so please check the booking page for details. You can pay securely by debit or credit card through Stripe. Your payment secures your place. If card payment isn’t an option for you, please contact us and we can arrange a bank transfer.
Payment plans
We offer payment plans to make it easier to cover the fee over several months. When you choose a payment plan, we’ll schedule a date for each instalment until the fee is paid in full. Usually each monthly payment is the same, running from when you book until the residency or workshop begins. If we don’t receive a payment when it’s due, we may treat this as a cancellation and offer your place to someone else.
Cancellations
You can cancel your booking and receive a full refund of all fees within the first 14 days after we confirm your booking in writing. If the residency or workshop starts within this period, a full refund is possible up to two days before it begins.
After the initial 14 day period, no refunds are given. The only exception is if we are able to fill your place with another participant, in which case we will refund the fees you have paid.
If you leave the residency or workshop after it starts, or miss any part of it, no refund will be given.
Cancellations by Dyski
If we have to cancel a residency or workshop for any reason, we will refund all fees you have paid to Dyski. We can’t refund travel or any other costs.
Illness during your stay
If you become unwell with something infectious during your stay, please tell us straight away. We may ask you to return home, or to stay in your accommodation away from the group until you are able to leave.
Travel
You are responsible for making and paying for your own travel arrangements, including transfers to and from the venue unless we say otherwise. We can’t be held responsible for problems with travel companies or your travel documents.
Travel insurance
We recommend travel insurance to protect against losses caused by cancellation or unexpected events that affect your booking, including your fees and travel costs. Please make sure your policy meets your needs.
Conduct
Dyski residencies and workshops rely on a supportive and creative atmosphere built on respect between participants, tutors and guests. We ask everyone to treat each other thoughtfully and respectfully. We reserve the right to refuse a place to, or remove, anyone who in our judgement behaves abusively, disruptively or in a discriminatory way. No refund is given in these cases.

Recording and confidentiality
You agree to keep confidential any work, ideas or personal material shared by other participants during group sessions or discussions. Please don’t share any of this outside the group without permission. You must ask before recording other participants, tutors or guests, and you may not publish or share recordings of them without their agreement.
Damage and cleaning
Please treat our buildings and grounds with care and respect during your stay. You agree to promptly reimburse us for reasonable costs resulting from any damage you cause to the property, or any excessive cleaning needed because of your stay.
Pets
Except for assistance dogs, pets are not allowed.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed inside any Dyski building, and is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
Guests and under 18s
Your booking is for your use only and can’t be transferred to anyone else without our agreement. Guests and visitors are not permitted during your stay. Our residencies and workshops are for people aged 18 and over. By booking, you confirm that the participant is 18 or older.
Access
We are committed to providing a welcoming environment for all participants. Our venues have varying levels of accessibility. If you have specific needs, please contact us before booking to discuss whether we can accommodate them.
Privacy and data
By booking, you agree that we may collect and securely store personal information such as your contact details, booking history, grant applications and other information needed to manage your booking. We don’t store card details. We’ll use this information to contact you about your booking and, unless you tell us otherwise, occasionally about our work. We never sell or share your information with third parties, except where needed to process your booking. To see, correct or delete your information, please contact us.
Liability
Dyski is not responsible for any loss, damage or expense caused by natural events, human actions or circumstances beyond our control. If we can’t provide a place for any reason, our liability is limited to refunding the fees you paid to Dyski. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

What a grant covers. A Dyski grant can cover all or part of the cost of one Dyski residency, including tuition, food and accommodation. Travel is the grant recipient’s responsibility and is not covered.
Funded places. Dyski workshops include funded places. In some cases we may also offer partial grants.
Application process. Dyski and the lead artist or named assessors make grant decisions based on the personal statements in applications. All applicants will be told the outcome shortly after the application deadline.
Confirming a grant. After being offered a grant, the recipient must confirm their place in writing within seven days. If the place isn’t confirmed within seven days, the grant will be withdrawn and the place may be offered to another applicant.
Feedback. Grant recipients must send a short written report within two weeks of the end of their residency or workshop, describing their experience and its effect on their practice.
Cancellation. If a grant recipient cancels their booking, the grant will be withdrawn. They are welcome to apply again in future.
Final decisions. Our decisions on grants are final, and we won’t enter into correspondence about them.
Cash and transfer. Grants can’t be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.
Withdrawal. Dyski may withdraw a grant offer if its conditions aren’t met, and may decide not to award grants or close the scheme at any time.
