Dyski Grant Scheme.
Terms & Conditions:

Booking:To reserve your spot in any of our courses, follow these simple steps: visit the courses page, choose your desired course, and complete your registration by making a payment or subscribing to our payment plan (please note that payment plans may not be available for all courses, so check the course page for details). You can securely pay with any debit or credit card through Stripe. Your payment secures your spot on the course. If card payment isn't an option for you, please reach out to us, and we can arrange a bank transfer.

Payment Plans: We offer payment plans to make it easier for you to cover the course cost over several months. When you choose a payment plan, we'll schedule specific dates for each instalment until the course fee is fully paid. Typically, each monthly payment will be the same, starting from the time you book until the course or retreat date. If we don't receive your balance when it's due, we reserve the right to consider it a cancellation on your part and offer the spot to someone else.

Travel:
You're responsible for making your own travel arrangements, and you'll cover the associated costs. We can't be held responsible for any issues with travel companies or problems with your travel documentation. Transfers to and from the retreat are at your own expense unless we specify otherwise. Travel Insurance: We recommend getting travel insurance to protect against potential losses caused by cancellations or unexpected events that affect your booking. This includes course fees and any related travel expenses. Ensure your insurance policy meets your specific needs.

Cancellations:
You can cancel your booking and receive a full refund of all fees within the first 14 days after we confirm your booking in writing. If the course or retreat starts within this period, a complete refund is possible up to two days before the course or retreat begins. After the initial 14-day period, should you cancel within 60 days of the retreat start, we will retain the £500 deposit. If you cancel within 30 days of the retreat, we retain the full amount you paid.

Please note that if you leave the course or retreat after it starts or miss any part without a valid reason like illness, bereavement, or a family emergency, there won't be any refunds, and we'll retain 100% of your fee. Any refunds for these exceptional circumstances will be at our discretion.

Conduct and Safety: Our courses and retreats thrive on a supportive and creative atmosphere that relies on respect and understanding among all participants and tutors. We ask that you treat others thoughtfully and respectfully, fostering a conducive creative atmosphere. We reserve the right to refuse a place or exclude any writer who, in our judgment, behaves abusively, disruptively, or engages in discriminatory conduct. No refunds are given in case of exclusion for these reasons.

Damage and Cleaning:
Please treat our buildings and grounds with care and respect during your stay. You agree to promptly reimburse us for reasonable costs resulting from any damage you cause to the propery or any excessive cleaning needed because of your stay.

Pets:
Except for assistance dogs, pets are not allowed at Dyski.

Smoking:
Smoking is not prohibited within any Dyski building and allowed only in designated smoking areas outside.

Guests & Under-18s:
Your booking is for your use only and may not be transferred to someone else without prior agreement from Dyski. During your stay, guests or visitors are not permitted. Our courses and retreats are for individuals aged 18 and over. When you book a course, you confirm that the participant is 18 or older.

Privacy and Data:
By booking, you agree that we may collect and securely store personal information, such as your contact details, gender, booking history, grant applications, and other necessary information for administering your booking. We don't store payment card details. We'll use this information to communicate with you about your booking and, unless you tell us otherwise, occasionally about our work and additional writer support. Rest assured, we never share or sell your information to third parties.

Confidentiality: You agree to keep confidential any information or material shared by other students during the course as a result of group exercises or discussions, whether oral or written. All discussions during the course are private and confidential. You are not allowed to make audio or visual recordings of the sessions, tutor's work, guest speakers, or fellow participants during the course.

Loss:
Dyski is not responsible for any loss, damage, or expenses you may incur due to natural events, human actions, or circumstances beyond our control. If we can't provide a course or retreat place for any reason, our liability is limited to returning the fees you paid.

Participation and Access: We are committed to providing a welcoming environment for all participants. Our properties have varying levels of accessibility. If you have specific needs, please contact us before booking to discuss whether we can accommodate them.

Additional Booking Terms & Conditions – Covid-19: In light of Covid-19, the following additional terms and conditions apply to all Dyski bookings:

Cancellations by Dyski: We may cancel your booking at any time if it's necessary for the health and safety of our staff or others due to heightened Covid-19 risk. We may also have to cancel your booking due to UK Government public health measures or changes in legislation or regulation in response to the pandemic. If we cancel for these reasons or for any other reason, we will refund your residential fees.

Covid-19 Positive Test:
If you develop Covid-19 symptoms during your stay, inform Dyski staff immediately and take a Covid-19 lateral flow test. If you test positive, please return home as soon as possible. If you can't leave, self-isolate in your accommodation until you can depart. We will provide food during this period. If you have to leave or suspend participation due to testing positive for Covid-19, we'll offer a pro-rata refund of fees paid. Please note that we can't reimburse travel or other expenses related to your booking. In the event of a cancellation by you or us, our liability is limited to the fees you paid to Dyski.

Eligibility:Dyski's grant scheme is for individuals who can't afford the full course fee. Grants are based on financial need, not writing ability.

Grant Coverage:A Dyski grant can cover all or part of the cost of one Dyski retreat, which includes tuition, food, and accommodation. Travel expenses are the grant recipient's responsibility; we don't provide travel assistance.

Confirming the Grant:After receiving a grant notification, the recipient must confirm their booking by paying a minimum deposit of £100 within seven days. Failing to pay the deposit within seven days will result in the grant withdrawal and the cancellation of the provisional booking.

Feedback Report Requirement:Grant recipients must submit a short-written report within two weeks of the chosen course's end, describing their experience and its impact on their writing.

Application Process:Dyski and the retreat leading artist will make grant decisions based on personal statements in the application. All applicants will receive notification of the decision shortly after the application deadline, regardless of the outcome.

Additional Free Places:Each Dyski workshop includes two fully free places. In some cases, we may offer a lesser amount or a reduced fee in addition to this.

Dyski's Right to Grant:Dyski may choose not to award a grant or withdraw the grant scheme at any time.

Cancellation:If a grant recipient cancels a booking, the grant award will be withdrawn, but they can reapply in the future.

Final Decisions: Our decisions on grant awards are final, and we won't engage in correspondence regarding them.

Cash and Transfer:Dyski grants can't be exchanged for cash or transferred to another person.

Withdrawal of Offer:Dyski reserves the right to withdraw a grant offer if the award's conditions aren't met.
